Start with two clues, not one
A title and year usually narrow the choice quickly. Drishyam from 2013 and Drishyam from 2015 are different productions. Vikram from 1986 and Vikram from 2022 also need separate entries. A similar poster or translated name should not override the year and cast.
Remake, dub or next chapter
A remake has another production and cast. A dub changes an existing film’s spoken track. A sequel or named chapter is another part of a connected story. Compare those distinctions before saving two titles that you think are merely different language editions of the same film.
Use the search tools
Enter the title with its year, then check original language. If the spelling differs, try a recorded alternative name or search the actor in Cast mode. For paired films such as the two Sapta Sagaradaache Ello sides, keep both title pages in My List and start with the intended first part.
A viewing destination can offer several editions of the correct production. Once the identity is clear, choose the audio, subtitles and available quality there.
